The Legend's Journey
In the late 1970s and 1980s, as master drummer he contributed to "The Greatest Hits of BTEXPRESS," "Stretch," and "Taking Off," earning a coveted Grammy Award with the group in 1976-1977. His legendary performances during this era included iconic venues like Madison Square Garden, the Beacon Theater, The Funhouse in Greenwich Village, and The Ritz Theatre.
The 1990s broadened Tyrone's repertoire when he contributed to the hit "So Different" with Kinky Foxx, and performed in charitable shows with The Legendary Intruders in Harlem. In the 2000s, he continued to evolve, participating in multiple recordings with Bawner Brothers and as master drummer with Alvin Ailey at the City Center in 2011 .
